Envy 360x convertible
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I'm considering upgrading my Hp envy 360x convertible laptop. I would like to increase its ram from 8 gb to at least 16 gb, as well as improving the cpu. I need advice as to which processor and ram stick I shoud choose, in order to ensure that all the components are compatible. If neccessary I would be willing to replace the motherboard and or other components such as the cooling fan. Thank you for your time.

Ps, in case anyone wonders why, I would like to run games like Elden Ring on it (smoothly).

We are going to need the full model or product number of the laptop to help. Lots of x360 convertibles. Any sort of upgrade except perhaps to RAM is going to require a motherboard replacement, more than likely. CPUs are soldered on these days. And gaming is a function of the video system more so than the CPU or memory in any case and its possible there is no motherboard for your laptop that has a video system strong enough to run a particular demanding game. Elden Ring recommends a GeForce GTX 1070 and HP only made its true gaming laptops with that kind of video power.
