Just bought a hp envy 17 i5s with two USB c ports, one with thunderbolt,  one with display port.

Which do you plug the supplied mains adaptor into?

The manual say see installation guide,  but it's not printed on the guide.

HP has hundreds of different Envy models/products you can call them as hp envy 17 i5s. What is it ? Please use the following way to find out:

I've read another hp article explaining the difference in the c port types and I think it's the c port with display,  not the thunderbolt one.

Would be good to have this confirmed.

I've managed to photograph the symbols at the side of the two USB c ports,  and the thunderbolt has a lightning symbol,  whereas the other USB c port has several tiny symbols,  one of which is in the shape of a plug.

Therefore I'll be using this one.

The set up instructions would benefit from showing this, and if I'm correct, perhaps explain that the Thunderbolt is primarily for fast data transfer-periferals and docking stations, whereas the other is for display output and the mains power adapter.

Thanks
