Hello everyone!

I have a big problem today with screen... First, where I purnchase this PC-

I purnchated it in 2012 year, The Netherlands. Now live in Latvia.

I was acsidentaly fall down my pc half year ago, and I was so angry. Everything was fine, only with display not. It was like jelly bean in my hand, but, I only needed some screws and thats all. Everything was fine.

And then, I saw, that I have on pc white line, first only one, then two. I tought, what is it, and, when I pressed on frame around display, it gone, and then, again show... I was very angry about it too.

Then, I was crazy. I just tried to resolve problem by myself, and, I was just unlucky. I got gum, and I press it under frame arond screen, and I got sharp think, and, I get that gum in, and try to get problem resolved. Luckly, I resolved my problem, but when I open and close, there was still line (not as much time as before. I just pressed, and it gone, when I open it)

Unluckly, I tried to put it again, but, now there are 1 big line with 9 smallers... All next to other (almoust). Lines are vertical, and that 9 smallers into 1 big line is almoust like (p) letter width. And, yes, Now I can't just press on it, and, lines are gone, now is much difficul, I can't get off them.

Also, I tried to contact with ''Microsoft'' live support. They told me, that I must to contact with HP manufacturer, and, that it is hardware issue...

Please, help me, I will be glad :3

Thanks...

Turn it off, and get it replaced IMMEDIATELY, before something much more dangerous happens (fire? explosion?).

Correct.  Each "pixel" on the screen has an (X,Y) position, and 3 "primary" colours.

For example, the screen could be 1024 pixels wide by 768 pixels high.

Those 3 colours can each be produced in one of 256 colours (from 0% to 100%).

The 3  colours are mixed to produce a colour, from (0,0,0) "black" to (255,255,255) "white".

On your display, a "column" is not reacting correctly, i.e., showing (255,255,255) "white" even when not requested.

Find a computer store near you that can replace the display -- possibly by "cannibalizing" a good screen from an otherwise-dead similar model of laptop, and "transplanting" it.

So, I will buy new screen.

Accualy, right now, when I turn it on, it is hot, that, I can't even put fingers (under display)

Huh, may I know details, how to add it correctly, or, I just need to go in first repair centre, where they will put it in.

Also, I know, that is is sheme problem under screen, so, its not responding. Thats why I have white lines. Also, it is good chance, that I can don't saw it. After all, I see only right side of the screen (more than left) In left side, where sheme is broken, there is colorful, white and black colors, lines.

the screen is damaged

what else needs to be known? (opps its hot) sorry/.

  1. replace it
  2. or get it replaced.
  3. or add external screen on the VGA port and ignore the built in screeen  (a hot screen is super bad.)

toss a coin/ or?

the service manual for the PC shows the steps, to replace a screen/  can be lots of steps...

ever seen the great manuals HP has,

Since the internal screen is "hot", when you connect an external monitor, tell Windows to *NOT* output to the internal screen -- only to the external monitor.  Just "ignoring" the display on the internal screen is NOT RECOMMENDED.

After a few minutes of "external-only" running, if the internal screen still is "hot", REPLACE IT IMMEDIATELY.

so true, my bad i missed the hot word.

hot wins always, (physics 101)

you do have shorts in the screen.  its bad screen, i bet twisting screen gently adds or removes thost bad lines

or is worse the solderball from hell PC 2008(gpu bad)

the screen if bad can be had for $100 ...

or unplug it (inside cased) and use and external screen at VGA jack for cheap, used screen for $50 or less.

there are always many solutions. and unplugging it is not hard, some are super easy, keyboard removed 4 screws.

Impact damage wrecks most screens.
