Hello!
I just got a used hp notebook elitebook 840g1i7 4600 model.
First, it has 2 gpu s. The first is the intel hd 4400 and the second is an amd 8450m or 8750m or 8740m something like that. You can check in the specs if needed..
Anyway, everything runs on the intel one, so why is there an amd one? After I set minecrart to run on the amd graphics it seems that i get lower fps.. so what is the purpose? Can I crossfire or combine or something?
Second, the fingerprint takes more then a min to recognize. Is it just a bad scanner or its a problem of my one? It barely works..
And also.. i have while spots on the screen, i can see them on white mainly. Is it fixable? Thank you very much.

HP Elitebook 840 G1 is a series of MANY different models/products with MANY different options/combinations/configurations as shown on the Maintenance and Service Guide:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04655205.pdf
Your machine has AMD Radeon™ HD 8750M option therefore it is a dual graphics model. No, you can't run Crossfire because it has integrated Intel and also has AMD gpu. You need 2 AMD gpu's which support Crossfire to run.
For Switchable graphics, please use

For Finger print: Since it is a secondhand machine with few years in action already therefore very hard to know how did the old owner do. Can you speak with the old owner ?
Regards.
