Hi. I wanna buy a workstation laptop. And I think x360 is great. I editing video and work in cinema 4d. And I want a strong laptop. I want to buy it with xeon but in new upgrade hp x360 doesnt have p2000. Do you think its better to buy core i9/p2000 or xeon/p1000? And if I buy xeon can I upgrade it to p2000 or not?

Thanks

There will be no upgrade possible for CPU or GPU as these chips are soldered to the motherboard. So get what you want and the best your budget permits because its not really feasible to change it after the fact.

Thanks alot. But do you think which one is stronger? And usefull for years? Core i9/p2000 or xeon/p1000?

Here is a link to a performance comparison between the best offered Xeon and the best offered i9 on this model:

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-Xeon-E-2186M-vs-Intel-Core-i9-8950HK/3232vs3246

As you can see these two CPUs are virtually equal. I would take the i9 if for no other reason than it uses non-ECC memory but if you are doing mission critical Coding you might consider the Xeon specifically because it uses ECC (error correcting) memory.

Here is the same kind of comparison between the P1000 and the P2000.

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Quadro-P1000-vs-Quadro-P2000_8846_8886.247598.0.html

The P2000 seems to be maybe 30% more powerful for video performance. You would want the P2000 if you are doing 3D modeling/CAD type work but for video editing the P1000 would probably be good enough.

You are into the realm of asking whether its better to have a Lamborghini or a Maserati...can't really go wrong with either. Post back with any more questions.
