Hi all,

 

I had recently disposed away my HP G9 800 Mini Desktop. I did not know about clearing the TPM before I used HP Secure Erase to wipe my SSD.

 

In my searches on the TPM clearing topic, I understood that HP does not recommend to clear the TPM from Bios but rather using Windows Security menu options.

 

Why is that ? Why not using the Bios to clear the TPM?
