This system was just setup this year. The main hard drive has decreased to 97% since January or February most likely. I did not really install anything on this system until later this year besides Zoom. All that was being installed on it was Windows updates, a windows 10 upgrade, and mcafee live safe. Somehow, the main hard drive went down in health by 3%. The temperature seems to fluctuate from 40% up to 70%. It does not have bad sectors, but this seems strange to me. However, I never had some software that I know told me that its health had decreased in a percentage.

Hello @JoshuaCaleb
Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... and I would like to help you.
Please think about it. It is a <mechanical drive> which is subject to wear like an engine in a car. There are indeed differences in the <quality> of hard drives. Some last forever and others fail within a short time. A clear pattern cannot be seen when comparing different manufacturers.
Recommendation and solution that is more future-proof
I would advise you to clone the hard drive to an SSD drive.

I think that drive is the solid state drive. I can’t find the specific test reference that shows it, but I recall finding one. It doesn’t make sense to me as I thought the secondary drive was the solid state drive.

Hello @JoshuaCaleb
(1) Download and install speccy
https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy
(2) Send speccy screenshots of
- Summary
- Storage
(3) Please report your results

Speccy is from the makers of combo cleaner. That has been labeled as malware before. Is it safe? i had combo cleaner on my previous system. It seems that i can use HP diagnostics on the regular drives possibly.
what information does summary and storage show?

are you recommending that i use that HWinfo software? it says it is diagnostic software. Or are you telling me about what speccy does? HWinfo might be able to say specifically if the drive in question is solid state.

i have the sensor stats and summary screenshots, and i copied the text from the hard drives. if you would like other information as screen shots, please let me know. that information in the example that you showed me, shows a long list of hardware profiles it seems. i have a text file exported.
