Pavilion dv7 - 6160ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Processor: Amd A8 - 3500M 1.50 Ghz

Ram: 6 Gb (1x2048gb and 1x4096) DDR3 1333 Hz

System: Win 10 Home v.1909

I want to change it from a single band to a dual band (2.4 Ghz & 5.8Ghz).

What are the specs that i need to keep in mind? Or which are the cards compatible with it?

Hi:

Your notebook's model series has a BIOS whitelist which prevents the installation of any card that did not originally come with your PC from working.

Your only option for dual band would be to purchase a USB dual band wifi adapter.

They make some nano-size USB dual band AC wifi adapters that hardly stick out of the USB port.
