Optane is not supported. There is no NVME bus which you need for Optane. The M.2 slot supports only SATA-3 type M.2 disks as you can see in this video.

If your laptop already has a hard drive you can add a SATA-3 style M.2 disk and run Windows from that.

Very good price for a 500 gig M.2 disk above.
