Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I'm upgrading my laptop's HDD, as it has been running very slow lately. I've already got the RAM upgraded to 16GB, so the memory is good. I have also taken apart my laptop (warranty had already expired, since the laptop is 2-3 years old), cleaned out any dust on the components (Amazingly, there was no dust on anything, except the fan of course!👍), and put high-quality thermal paste between the heatsink and the CPU. However, even after the upgrades and cleaning, my laptop still runs way too slow. Now I need to get a storage drive that loads everything very quickly.

Then I saw something about the storage device from Samsung. Here is the link for the device: https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-250...

Is the storage device compatible with my laptop? Also, if possible, will this work for a 2011 Toshiba Satellite L755-S5214? (This laptop runs quickly, but its HDD is several years old.)

The Samsung 970 NVMe M.2 SSD won't fit and if fitted won't work on your machine. You can replace existing HDD with 2.5" SSD for example

Updated: For your second question, I don't know your Toshiba but with that old, it does not support M.2 SSD's.

Regards.

Thank you for the assistance! Could I possibly get some adapter part that would make my laptops compatible with the M.2, or is it due to the software that makes them not compatible?
