Can someone tell me wheather the hard disk (ST1000LM035-1RK172) is available in India ?
This is the model that shows up in the task manager details of hard disk in my laptop.

My best recommendation is to find a computer-store in India, and ask them that question.
Note that your laptop is compatible with every 2.5-inch SATA disk-drive, and every SSD, up to 2 Terabytes, and maybe a higher storage capacity. So, the replacement need not be an "exact" match.

Thanks for the reply .
I do know that

Then why does'nt HP replace my HDD with a suitable one .I am good with any brand of HDD specified that the spec's are same.
I visited HP Service center yesterday .They took the laptop and asked me to come back after 4 days .
Within 4 hours they rang me up and told that "This Product Family is not Supported in India " and asked me to take it back .
I am sure that they too know the above point ,then why are they refusing to not replace it ?

Final Verdict :
HP failed to replace my failing HDD ,stating that the model / replacement HDD is not available in India .
As this left me with no other way ,rather than replacing myself .
I had to purchase a new 1TB SSHD from Seagate .
Also i upgraded to a secondary M.2 SSD 128GB .
Thanks to all those who were out thier helping me and I am very disappointed with HP for their Customer Care/Service's .
This is probably the last time i am purchasing a HP Notebook as my daily driver .
Dell has better support / flexibility with their support and I have experienced it personally a little while ago on my friend's laptop which also was from out-of-country model .
