EliteBook 840 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I'm looking for an upgrade to ultrawide monitor with resolution of 3440x1440, so I was wondering if the 840 G2 EliteBook can run it?!

It has DisplayPort 1.2, and I'm also using the ultraslim dockstation which also has DisplayPort (1.2 as well i think).

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Yes it will support that kind of resolution at 60Hz

"DisplayPort 1.2: Supports video resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2190 pixels) at 60 Hz, most common 3D video formats, and has a bandwidth of 17.28 Gbps"

Hope it helps,

David

Thank you very much. I also checked the specs of DisplayPort 1.2, and it seems that it shouldn't be a problem, but I read somewhere that people are having trouble setting the resolution higher than 1920x1080 for ultrawide monitor on 840 G2, even on G3. I just wanted to make sure before jumping into such a purchase.
