HP Envy 17-n100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Will my HP Envy 17-n100 support a 1TB SSD in its m.2 slot? Now I have a 512GB Samsung SSD and  it works fine.  (optical drive and the HDD1 SATA connectors are both used. I have no 2nd HDD cable to connect a SATA SSD)

User Manual @ hp.com (link opens in new page)

The manual is too old and it does not mention any 1TB capacity SSD.

Will my laptop support it? How can i make sure?

@Peterenvy

It should work fine. The Manual usually only shows configurations that were offered by HP on the laptop.

Of course you could  replace the hdd with 2.5"SSD:

Thank you for your reply. I want to use the m.2 interface not the SATA for HDD. Will my Envy 17 nXXX series (n100) support NVMe or only the SATA M.2 iface?

This would be my choice.

Will it fit into Envy 17 n100?Will it fit into Envy 17 n100?
