Hi there,
I'm planning to upgrade some of the components on my laptop so that it can handle my video editing and gaming needs better.
My current setup is:
CPU: Intel Core i5-8250U
GPU: Nvidia GeForce MX150
1st SSD: Sandisk SD9SN8W-128G-1006
2nd SSD: Samsung 870 Evo 500GB
RAM: Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM
MBD: HP 8484 Version 70.31
My planned upgrades:
CPU: Intel Core i3-12100F
GPU: PowerColor AXRX 6600 8GBD6-3DH graphics card AMD Radeon RX 6600 8 GB GDDR6
RAM: Corsair CMK32GX4M2Z3600C18 VENGEANCE LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18 AMD Ryzen
Can anyone tell me if:
a) these upgrades are indeed possible given that some of the components will remain while some will be upgraded
b) if the upgrades aren't possible, what components I need to change (e.g. a new motherboard) and give me some recommended examples.
Many thanks,
Ivan

Hi, Ivan:
Unfortunately, you cannot do any of those upgrades to your notebook.
The processor and graphics adapter are integral parts of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.
The only way to upgrade the processor and graphics would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with better specifications.
Notebooks with the Intel 8th generation core processors (the only ones supported in the model series) can only run the memory at a max speed of 2400 Mhz.
You could install 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 CL22 memory but it will only run at 2400 MHz.
