Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?
HP Recommended

Will not boot, appears dead. Held power button down for 15+ seconds to make sure totally off. When i plug in charging chord, get a quick flash of orangeish-amber (definitely not the usual white as when it was working) on the indicator light. The light itself seems to be flashing quickly on (orangeish-amber) about once every 30-60 seconds or so.  Very very intermittently in other words. Replaced the power chord once and it only worked for a short time then back to same behavior, so i do not think it is the power chord.

Any suggestions?  Is the only option to take it to the shop for repair?

Thank you.

I cannot log into windows because the laptop isn't turning on.

From the bottom of the laptop what information i can give is:

Model 13t-ap000

ProdID 4CJ13AV

S/N# [personal information removed]

That happens to be the very same laptop that I own. I purchased it in 2019.

Is yours still in warranty?

Has the battery ever been replaced? I replaced mine about 18 months ago when I experienced a similar issue.

Have you noticed that you don't get eight hours or so out of the battery any more or is that not the case?

The blinking amber light is a power condition. It could be a battery no longer serviceable or a failing power adapter.

Since you stated that the power adapter has been replaced, it is more likely to be a battery that needs to be replaced.

Hello, did the Battery replacement.

Now its the same blink but White instead of amber.

I read in a few forums to unplug and disconnect charger,

Hold power button for 15 seconds

Install battery

Plug charger

But same white slow blink light. Tried with 2 different chargers.
