I recently noticed that the air vents of my laptop were dusty and I wanted to open the back cover and clean it, but I don't know if doing this will void my laptop's warranty. Can someone inform?

This is a peer-to-peer forum.
We do not work for or represent HP, so we are unable to reply on HP's behalf regarding the warranty terms and conditions.
I recommend you contact HP customer service and seek a definite answer from HP.

I will point out if you look at p. 31 of the Manual, removal of the back cover is part of "Customer Self-Repair". This is not true of every model but it appears you are authorized to open yours. Still not a bad idea to seek confirmation, but its often difficult to get an agent to make such a commitment.
