I couldn't find my notebook on the UK Crucial website and the scan couldn't detect it.

I then visited Mr. Memory and entered my specific model, it came up with a list of memory upgrades

I have a choice between 2666MHz (PC4-21300) or 2933MHz (PC4-23400), I'll go with 2933MHz as that's what my current speed is when I look under Task Manager.

But if I can find 3200MHz somewhere is that the best speed to fit my notebook?

Hi:

Here is the link to the compatible DDR4-3200 memory chip from the Crucial UK link.

Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT16G4SFRA32A | Crucial UK

Your notebook's processor is only going to run the memory at 2933 MHz, so you can go with the 2933 MHz memory from Mr. Memory, or the Crucial 3200 memory from the Crucial UK website.

The 3200 MHz memory will automatically bridge to 2933 MHz.

Please post back and let us know how your notebook's memory upgrade project went.

Sorry, one last thing - why does it say 'removal will void warranty'?

Is it warranty on the stick only if removed after inserting?

Is the any indication of the RAM size on the stick itself?

HP Recommended

I will certainly post back, but it may not be for a while as I am trying to suss out why my programs are crashing now and again - RAM may be a factor.

The memory comes with a lifetime warranty, as long as the label is not removed.

There would never be a reason to remove the sticker from the memory chip.
