Hello,

 

Will the LG BU40N, UHD Sata 9.5mm fit inside the HP ZBook 17 G2 Mobile Workstation?

I currently have a Super Multi-DVD Writer GUB0N optical drive inside it now.

For thickness, yes, it supports 9.5mm Optical drives

 

Supports the following 9.5 mm (0.37 in) SATA optical drives:
● Blu-ray R/RE DVD±RW SuperMulti Double-Layer (DL) Drive
● Blu-ray ROM DVD±RW SuperMulti Double-Layer Drive
● DVD±RW SuperMulti Double-Layer Drive

Thanks for the speedy reply. Would you know the name of the bracket on the back that is held on by two Philips head screws. That's the bracket that laptop used by a single screw to stop the entire drive sliding out.
