I have seen the 'Samsung MZ-V8V1T0B/AM 980 SSD 1TB' and I need to know if its compatible with my laptop since its 1TB and not 500GB.

Yes, that drive should work just fine in your notebook.
The drive capacities listed in the service manual are normally just what HP offered in the model series, not the maximum capacity supported.

The Crucial SSD report for your notebook indicates they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB.
