HP Pavilion X360 Touch
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After update to Win 10, it completely removed my Touch Screen. Is not under HID or USB anywhere. Under PC property, it say "No Pen or Touch". I do not want to roll back to Win 8. I need HP Support and MS Support help to fix this problem. Many users are having the same Touch Screen problem. HP and MS Support both should work out a fix for these ongoing issues. Currently there is no real solution or driver to recover the Touch Screen back.

Thanks for the reply, as the touchscreen diagnostics is not listed, request you to install UEFI diagnostics from this link.

Also, update the chipset on your computer by downloading it from this link.

The alternate way to test the touchscreen on your computer is by boot the computer to recovery manager by tapping F11 repeatedly on startup.

To test the touchscreen, just try to click on different options on the recovery manager.

If the screen responds to the touch, the issue you are facing is a software issue.

If the screen does not respond to touch, then it is a hardware issue.

Keep me posted after installing the chipset. Good Luck.

Greetings @DQ389

Thanks for the post.

I understand that you upgraded the OS on your computer to Windows 10 and the touchscreen is not working, is that right?

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Have you run a diagnostics on your computer?

Have you tried to update all the drivers using HP Support Assistant?

May I know the exact product number of your computer? Click here. Please do not share the serial number of your computer.

Whenever you upgrade the OS there would be a lot of updates from Microsoft and driver updates required.

Recommend you run HP Support Assistant on your computer to update all the drivers on your computer. Click here to know more about HPSA.

To isolate the issue you are facing, recommend you boot the computer to System diagnostics and run a touchscreen test on your computer.

Turn the computer On and keep tapping F2 repeatedly on startup to enter system diagnostics.

Select component test and then run a touchscreen test on your computer.

If the test fails, please contact our phone support for any service options available for your computer.

If the test passes, restart your computer and try the steps suggested in this HP Article

Keep me posted. Good Luck.

I am on the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI Screen. This is the list that came up on my PC: Memory Test, Hard Drive Check, Language, and Exit. The Component Test is not on the list. I ran the HPSA many times and there is no update available. On HP site I checked the list of available software there is no Touchscreen Driver for my PC. I gave up what's next? Thanks for your help.

I did found the Diagnostic Driver, Touch Screen test passed. I read on the forum other users update the BIOS, Intel Controller, Atom Processor, etc. I started with BIOS, and installed all 3 Intel Controller Drivers. My Touch Screen recovered! This was a painful process and is trial and error. Thanks for all your help.

I updated the BIOS, Intel Controller, Atom Processor, etc. I started with BIOS, and installed all 3 Intel Controller Drivers manually. My Touch Screen recovered! Like it was said above this was a painful process. I was counting on system assistant and that was my huge mistake because it does nothing except taking valuable space on my small SSD. Thanks for all your help.
