Is Windows 10 driver and BIOS support going to be forthcoming for the Pavilion g6? This is a 64-bit Core i5 system with 600GB storage and 8GB RAM, fully capable of running Windows 10 and supporteed sw, and I can't believe HP is no going to provide driver and BIOS updates.

Hi:
HP did not support that model series for W10 since it was manufactured prior to August of 2013.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

That means no W10 drivers were ever released for the g6-21xx model series, and never will be.
Is there something in your notebook that is not working correctly on W10?
According to this discussion you had with me, everything appeared to be peachy keen.

Hi Paul - Thanks to the link you sent I was able to upgrade to W10, I really appreciate it. "Peachy keen" might be a slight exaggeration - I have had the battery problem described on the message page for a long time, and the first suggestion is to update the BIOS. I replaced the battery, which briefly seemed to help, then it was right back to where it was. I cannot run the laptop without a battery, it dies immediately.
But that is not really why I asked about the support. It's a heavy laptop that I keep plugged in to run Presonus music software in my studio at home. I'm having some issues getting the sw to communicate with another device over MIDI. Tech support at Presonus asked for a copy of my sysinfo file and when they saw it they told me to update my "BIOS, USB, Audio, chipset and other drivers". Neither of us knows whether that would solve the MIDI issue, but if I can't update them it takes one possible solution off the table.
In spite of the 2013 manufacture date, it would cost me a good deal to replace the system with almost the exact same product - Core i5, 600GB storage, 8GB RAM (I added a couple), W10. It is disappointing that HP wouldn't take the trouble to keep a solid older system up to date with drivers. Maybe there is a later BIOS I can install even if not specifically for W10? Or maybe MS has generic W10 drivers?
