Thanks for post.

Sadly, my HP laptop dv6 is always set at Maximum Performance which I use because of heavy video editing demands. I also tried resetting all Power Settings to default plus numerous other possibilities.

 

At times and for no identified reason my pc is also very quick to wake from Sleep. This makes me 'happy' until I am forced to do a restart (Windows Updates for example) when I am back on the slow boat.

 

I guess that I will just have to live with it.

this tip was helpful (disableing ulps from the regitery). It worked for me.

the comp was resuming in annoying several minutes, now in seconds.
