Hi All

It seems that the EnableUlps method worked after all. I was forgetting to restart my computer for the registry change to take effect before experimenting with putting the computer in sleep mode.

I used this tool:

http://blog.metasplo.it/2012/12/amd-ulps-ultra-low-power-state-disable.html

Download ULPS.exe from the above link. Right click the downloaded file and click "Run As Administrator". Put 0 in the Text Box to disable ULPS. Wait for the script to complete. Restart your machine.

Cheers

The ULPS change has improved the speed of resume from sleep.

On the down side, I have noticed that my battery drains much more quickly when using the laptop and while the laptop is sleeping.

For example, last night I put the laptop to sleep with about 40% battery left. When I resumed this morning, I immediately got a low battery warning which means it was less than 12%.

Anyone else noticing this possible trade off?

Anyone have any new advice on this?

Because battery is important to me, I am tolerating the slow resume.

It is very frustrating and want someone (HP/Microsoft/AMD) to step up and fix this issue.

Thanks

Any new news about the slow to wake beside the EnableULPS change?

It seems to me that the slow resume from sleep (in my case 75 sec) may possibly be related to many Application Reconfigs re-occurring at each start up?

You can check this at:

System & Security/Security & Maintenance/Maintenance/ View Reliability.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Just to update this thread ...

Yesterday, Microsoft Update  W10 forced an Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 and this seems to have been the problem. The pc now boots fast from Sleep.

Long may it last!

Can you provide the link to the download?

Sorry ... I don't have a link. Windows 10 automatically installed. Oh, and it did not solve my problem ... when I actually rebooted my pc (instead of Sleep) the 75 sec screen-up delay started over again.

I struggled with slow wake from sleep on Win10, it took about 1 minute.

I stumbled upon this solution and it worked for me:

- Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings > Switchable Dynamic Graphics > Global Settings - > set both to "Maximize performance".

Now it's snappy to wake from sleep. :))

Hope this helps someone, I know I struggled to solve this!

*Cheers!*
