hello. recently, the "mouse and pointing devices" driver section has disappeared from my driver list. it's completely gone. i can't find a download for it, even on here. before it vanished, it was the latest version of the synaptics touchpad. restarting the computer doesn't work. not even completely resetting the computer works. i have no way to properly use my laptop now. please let me know if it can be saved.

@pankyonshii,

I reviewed your post and I understand that the touchpad driver is missing on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

When was the last time the touchpad was working fine?

Did you do any Windows updates on the computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check whether the touchpad driver appears in the device manager.

  1. Click Start, and type devmgmt. msc in the Start Search box and hit enter.
  2. Device Manager opens.
  3. In Device Manager, click your computer so that it is highlighted.
  4. Click Action, and then click Scan for hardware changes.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
