Also try Microsoft's Answer Desk. It's a little difficult to avoid their online assistance, which is less than helpful, but if you're persistent about wanting to "talk to a live person" (use that phrase), they'll give you the option of scheduling a call. That might mean scheduling it for tomorrow, but they not only call you back but have solutions to whatever ails you.

I did speak to Microsoft about the issue of conflicts with McAfee and Windows 10 after an update.  I was told not to use McAfee but only windows defender.  I don't like that option as I paid for McAffee and it has additional tools that help clean up your files and fixes errors.  So, the answer didn't please me at all. I paid for a good program and can't use it thanks to Windows update/

Have you checked the McAfee web-site?

 

If you are not the only person to have the same symptoms, McAfee should have acknowledged the problem, and should have fixed their software to be compatible with the latest set of Windows updates.

 

At least, they should, if they want to stay in business!  Smiley Frustrated
