Hi, I have an Hp probook 430 G3 i5 6200, I am trying windows 11 ltsc evaluation copy from microsoft, it installs and runs very well, but when i reboot I lose the built in keyboard and mouse, if I plug in an external keyboard and mouse in it works ok, have tried reinstalling drivers, works ok until I reboot, have tried this on another laptop and don't have this issue.
Any ideas please

Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try a newer version of the driver.
Your notebook's support page indicates the driver version is 19.0.19.69
The W11 driver from the 430 G5 is 19.4.3.166
Synaptics Mouse Driver
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp96501-97000/sp96967.exe
If that doesn't work, try the W10 driver from the 430 G4.
19.3.8.32

Thanks for reply, tried the drivers you suggested and sadly failed to help, have tried a newer version of Windows 11 Ltsc and at the moment the trackpad and keyboard are working ( fingers crossed), it's a shame this is only an evaluation copy and I can not buy a single license as this would help a lot of charities I work with to re use their old laptops.
Once again thanks for info.

You're very welcome.
Sorry those drivers didn't work.
If the PC came from HP with W10, why not install the regular version of W11?
You can either clean install W11 using the Rufus utility W11 hardware check bypass method or you can install W10 and use an easy method to upgrade to W11>
Rufus is on the 1st video. You can use the Rufus utility to clean install W11 or do in-place upgrades from W10>W11:

I like this method for doing in-place upgrades from W10>W11 or from an older version of W11 to the latest version:

If Microsoft releases a new build of W11, then just run the process on the next W11 ISO file that comes out.

Hi Paul,
Have looked at putting Win 11 24h2 on but this only lasts 2 years?, the win 11 ltsc I saw would run until 2038 possibly, as said shame Microsoft couldn't have a more affordable license, as this is such a great install for average user.

You run that workaround every year that W11 releases a new build of W11, or every two years if you don't want to do it every year.
I doubt they will be making too many more W11 releases anyway since I believe they are working on W12.
W11 will go out of support in October of 2031 (10 years after the initial W11 release date).
