I need help with keyboard drivers, My laptop keyboard stops working and I have to constantly go to device manager delete keyboards, reboot. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't, never had an issue till windows 11. Did a search on HP site and you have no drivers listed for windows 11. Help, this is an expensive laptop. Doubt I will ever buy another HP product.  HP Envy x360

Hi @Llawen,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're facing with your HP Envy x360 keyboard after upgrading to Windows 11. Driver issues can indeed be frustrating, especially when they impact such a crucial component.

Let's try a few steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem.

1. Update Windows:

  • Sometimes Windows Updates can include fixes for driver-related issues.
  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and click "Check for updates."

2. Update Drivers:

  • Since HP might not have specific Windows 11 drivers listed, we can try updating the existing drivers.
  • Right-click on the Start menu, choose "Device Manager."
  • Expand the "Keyboards" section, right-click on your keyboard device, and select "Update driver."
  • Choose "Search automatically for drivers" and let Windows find and install any available updates.

3. Reset Keyboard Driver:

  • Sometimes, resetting the keyboard driver can help.
  • In Device Manager, right-click on the keyboard, choose "Uninstall device."
  • Reboot your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the keyboard driver.

4. HP Support Assistant:

  • HP laptops often come with a tool called "HP Support Assistant" that can help with driver updates and diagnostics.
  • If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the HP Support Assistant page.

Additional Tips:

  • Check for any physical damage or debris that might be affecting the keyboard.
  • Test the keyboard in different environments (like Safe Mode) to see if it behaves the same way.

Notes:

  • Always backup important data before attempting major changes or updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
