OMEN by HP - 17-an162nb
Microsoft Windows 11
HP Omen laptop LK799EA#UUG Windows 11 with all updates - Drivers are up to date - both internal SSD (SAMSUNG MZVLB256HAHQ-000H1 256.0 GB) and external SSD (Samsung T7) are extremely slow. Laptop boot takes 3 times as long. When creating a backup/image on an external SSD, the speed dropped from 1.3 Gb/s to 300 Mb/s.
Is there a solution for that? Under Windows 10 everything was OK.
Thank you very much for your advice. Zeezicht

Hello
you say that everything is up to date the drivers are up to date
but if we look here, your computer, has nothing available for windows 11

Unfortunately we push users to switch to windows 11 without mentioning the possible problems
And if it goes rather well for some, which is more or less my case, for others it is a disaster

See here a few windows updates, it gets better..
if not, since it was better with windows 10 go back to this system
Windows 11 does not bring much, interesting for many computers

Thanks for your quick reply.

All the "test" i made (before installing Win11)  pointed-out that my laptop was OK for installing Win11.

After you mentioned that there are no Win11 drivers available from HP for my laptop ..  tjaa.

Could that be the problem ?

Now.. looking on Internet i found a lot of reportings that there are SSD speed problems with Win11.

I forgot to mention that the first 2 weeks running Win11everything was OK ..

After an update suddenly the "problem" appeared ..

So ... your advice is to return to Win10 ..

Many thanks and greetings, Zeezicht

wait a bit, unless you can uninstall this update to check, if it's better?
reinstalling windows 10 could be tedious, I advise you to give it as a last resort!
