Hi, new member seeking guidance recently got a hp 15-r029wm notebook the original hdd was booting a locked hardrive. I have a hdd with Windows 7 pro I installed in the notebook. A bunch of drivers I cannot get to work. I've tried uninstalling them and tried restarting still the same thing. I've tried hardwiring the internet but still can't get on the internet to see what drivers I need im stumped any help would be appreciated. Anything else you need from me I'll provide thanks. Thank you for the quick reply, I'm unable to log on to the internet being hardwired to the laptop so I'm unable to go to those sites to address this. ? And I'm unsure which ones to check on the list you provided through the update driver, find driver manually. Thanks again will check back later.

You're very welcome.
Download the wifi driver file from another PC, copy it to a USB flash drive.
Plug the flash drive into the PC's USB 2 port and install the driver, so you can connect to the internet, and then you can download and install them directly from your notebook.

Thank you I was able to fix this with your help. I do have another question for you , I recently replaced the power button with the ribbon attachment my other ribbon broke at the solder joint. With the new part attached securely and correctly it will not power on with the power button. Oddly if I remove the cable from the clip where it connects into motherboard it cuts on why is this? Thanks again

I am not a PC repair tech by trade or training so unfortunately, I would not be able to help you with your last question.
I suggest you start a new post regarding the power button.
