Hello 🙂
I own a hp EliteBook 840 g3 which have a fingerprint reader and I recently upgrade it to windows 10 pro. After downloading all the windows updates, I went to windows hello configuration with the intentions to try out the whole fingerprint thing (i never used back in windows 7, the original OS this laptop came with) but it said:
I search my laptop's drivers and downloaded the "Synaptics WBF Fingerprint Driver" from here (from the official website). I installed the driver, restarted my laptop, but its still saying the same thing, it just doesn't recognize the fingerprint reader. Does anybody know what's going on?

Finger print reader is optional.
Did you buy this option otherwise machine does not have sensor installed.
Regards.

The laptop was a gift, I'm not sure if the person who gifted it to me actually bought that feature... I can physically see the "fingerprint reader", doesn't that means my laptop should have the feature?
Thanks a lot for taking the time to help me, means a lot 🙂
