My laptop is restarting by strange stop error code like: MEMORY MANAGEMENT ERROR, PAGE FAULT. It restarting itself everytime when boot into windows. However it works fine on ubuntu no hardware fault. Ran hp extensive memory test it says Memory module 1:Bottom-Slot 1 (left) But ubuntu shows two ram sticks as working.My laptop is one month old

I understand that you are getting memory management error 

 

Please perform a hard reset first. Steps to do it:

  • Power down the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery only if it is a removable one.
  • Hold down the power button of the unit for 15 seconds to discharge static electrical charges inside the machine.
  • Replace the battery and reconnect the charger.

 

Then run UEFI diagnostics. The steps to do it is mentioned below:

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly, about once every second.The HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu is displayed.

Please perform all the complete diagnostics that include the hard drive, memory and component tests.
