That is what I am starting to think, as well. HP is not very transparent about such things. You would prove the existence of a whitelist if you got the HP part numbered wireless card and it worked where the non-HP version did not.

I just ordered the exact part number from HP. I will update this thread once I test it out. Pretty annoying, but if it works I will be happy.

Still no luck even though I used their exact part....Now I have to go through the hassle of returning this when it was supposed to be gauranteed to work. 

 

Part was 9560NGW.

 

The PC beeps 5 times slowly then maybe 3-4 times quickly. Anyone know what that means?

Thought I would update this so it could help others in the same situation. I updated to the latest bios that recently came out in April/May then I puchased an Intel AX200NGW card and amazing it works! I'm not sure if it was the bios update that got this working or not, but the AX200NGW is working flawlessly!
