Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Laptop 15-gw0xxx (64-bit operating system, x64-based processor) running Windows 11 Home.

I can't get my wireless mouse to connect, even after troubleshooting. Battery is new, tried both USB ports, restarted the laptop several times. The mouse is Model: G1307E (purchased on Amazon).

I've checked for drivers, updated as much as I can, The mouse isn't recognized under Devices & Printers, but when I pull up the Device Manager using Window+x, something appears under "Mouse and othe rpointing devices" as ELAN Input Device.

I'm not sure where to go from here.

Sounds like either a battery issue with the mouse or a dead USB dongle.

Is the dongle even recognized when you plug it in?

Do you hear the  ka dink sound when it is plugged in?

If you bought it from Amazon, just contact Amazon and let them know it is DOA and they will quickly replace it or give you a refund.

The seller won't complain, as they don't really have a choice.
