Dear team

I hv pavilion g4-1215dx AMD models I think ant to upgrade my wlan hardware. Currently it supports only 2.4 ghz and Bluetooth. Kindly recommend the model of wlan hardware which will be compatible with my g4 model. In new card I want 2.4,5 & 6 also with Bluetooth also. Can I do that? From where can I purchase lyk Amazon or Flipkart.

Hi:

 

Your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which blocks the installation of any other model Wi-Fi adapter from working other than the one currently installed in your notebook.

 

Therefore, upgrading the Wi-Fi card is not possible.

 

Your only option for dual band Wi-Fi would be to purchase a dual band USB Wi-Fi adapter and use the existing Bluetooth from the internal Wi-Fi card.
