I am thinking about upgrading the processor on my notebook from an amd a6-4400m to a a8-4500m or an a10-4600m. Will the upgrade really be as easy as plug-n-play; as I've seen on youtube? I don't know the name of my motherboard however I do know the processor socket is a FS1 (FS1r2). The BIOS is Insyde F.26 and the date of it says 02/21/2013, the born date on my computer is 11/18/2012. So can I buy and attempt the upgrade? Are there some things I can check before hand to ensure compatibility or that my computer is optimal for a new apu?
If there is any other information I should provide that could be more helpful please let me know
Thank you in advance!

Hi @Aurelio-Alvarez,
Welcome to the community!
The following APU are compatible and yes, your notebook's system board supports the upgrades.
AMD A10-4600M processor (3.2 GHz/2.3 GHz, 1600 MHz/4.0 MB L2 cache, DDR3, quad core, 35W) HP p/n 683046-001
AMD A8-4500M processor (2.8 GHz/1.9 GHz, 1600 MHz/4.0 MB L2 cache, DDR3, quad core, 35W) HP p/n 683048-001
It is recommended to purchase and install upgrade APUs that have the HP part number to ensure compatibility.
