@Joe_S21

The specs of your machine is

          https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/ish_8073172-8073221-16

It has

  • (2) Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB Type-C® 40 Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge)  ports
  • And uses 200 W Smart AC power adapter

It manual says nothing about compatible dock only says: NOTE:Your computer might also support a Thunderbolt docking station.

Therefore the HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 with 230W rating should work

BH:

Thank you for the information. I picked up the G2 dock and it works great. The only question I have is that my laptop warns me that it would charge quicker with a higher rated power supply.  My laptop included the 200w charger and the dock is 230w so why the warning?

Thank you

Joe
