HP Spectre x360 13-w030nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I just installed the latest bios update (F.48) for my HP Spectre x360 13-w030nd (plus a few other updates that were available), and the battery drain when off problemseems to be back again. When I had this problem early last year the Sphinx fix seemed to solve the issue. The problem is I don't have the Sphinx file any more, and I cannot find it for download anywhere.

Laptop completely off, charged to full at 22:00 yesterday evening. Checked at 10:00 this morning, 7% of battery gone.....

Yes, Fastboot is off.  What are my options to get this fixed??

Hello Chrisinthesun,

Did  you try this step that i shared below?

Go to > Device Manager > System Devices > Intel Management Engine Interface

Right Click and select >  Properties

Click > Power Management

Uncheck > Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power

Thanks,

Cheers, seems a bit better after changing this setting. After 1.5 days the battery dropped from 90% - 86%.

Not brilliant, but certainly better than before I think.

Its weird that I had fixed this problem, then it started again. Was it the bios update that reset stuff you think?

is there USB Charging in BIOS? If there is, please set disable it.

is there any connected device via USB such as mouse, keyboard etc.?

USB charging is off, and I don't have any external devices connected.

Yes, all installed, except for the I/O driver update, which gives this amazing message when I try to install it :LaughingTears:

Mine has never been able to update the serial I/O driver but I suspect it's due to the fact that my x360 doesn't have one.  I can't imagine many that would either until one is connected via a USB port.
