Product: Elitebook 840 G5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi,
HP Elitebook 840 G5 user. It has a HP OEM Toshiba XG5 256 SSD in it. The hard drive firmware update has improved sequential read speeds on the drive. The write speeds for an SSD drive are still quite low.
HP has only released the one firmware upgrade (SP92326) in Nov 2018 to address poor performance when resuming from hibernation or sleep. Dell have released a number of additional Toshiba firmware updates to improve performance and drive detection the last of which was April 2020.
HP please package the Toshiba firmware upgrade for HP OEM XG5 SSD to fix the write speeds this drive has.
Thanks
