- ZBook 15 G3 Processor Temp when Connected to Dock

Processor temps stay 65 C and beyond when connected to a HP Thunderbolt Dock 230W G2 w/ Combo Cable, with max temps surpassing 90 C. This is with hardly anything (or nothing) running. When unplugged from the dock, processor temps are able to maintain 40 C easily, regardless of workload.
The dock is clearly hogging processor resources. What's strange is an identical setup is used by my coworker without these temperature/performance issues. We work in the same team on similar projects and have the same hardware setup.
How can I track down exactly why the processor is stressed when connected to the dock?
