Hi,
Im getting the Failure ID: RSLC28-94P9AK-XD7URF-60SP03
on my colleagues laptop, and I don't really know what this means.
Could anyone help me?
Cheers

Hi,
Basically, it means that the drive has failed the quick test and needs to be replaced. If you can still boot into Windows you should backup all your personal files.
You will need to replace the M2 SATA3 drive with a new M2 SATA3 drive or much faster M2 PCIe NVMe drive of your desired capacity.
You can perform a clean install of Windows 10 by downloading the media creation tool from Microsoft, running on different PC and creating a bootable pendrive with the OS on it. Then use this pendriveto perform a clean install on PC. Windows will automatically activate once installed and connected to internet.

You can find drivers and software on the HP support page for your product:

Hi,
first of all, thanks for you answer!
Second, it first booted into the Protected by HP sure start, restarted it and i went into the HP diagnostic thingy, there i came to that Failure ID after the system test, did a few specific tests on the Hard Drive itself and it can to that all the time.
After your post it booted into windows (idk how) and since the user needed to work on it quite badly, i gave it back for now.
There is no files to backup expect for the OS.
So the next step would be to order a new SSD, get the old one out of there and put the new on in it, install w10 on it and done??

Hi,
Yes, that is what I would do, as you will not be able to know when the drive completely fails. You can use a drive such as the M2 Samsung 860 evo if you do not need the self-encrypting drive. It will be faster and cheaper.

David

Hi,
Yes, good idea to completely update the system. I see there is a BIOS update from August and there are various firmware updates. Check the brand of the SSD and see if it is in the list of firmware updates. Usually, the tests are quite accurate. However, a failing drive might fail completely even after months or more. Good idea to tell the User to keep backups of important files. (naturally that is always a good idea)
Anyway, let me know how it works out.
All the best,
David
