Zbook 17 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I've found an M+B NGFF SSD on last Zbook 17 G3 I've buyed as used, and it's a very slow drive! I was ready to change it with a new 256gb WD PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 M version, that still have, but when I still was with screwdriver in hand to remove it I've had a doubt! As in service manual there is no reference neither about G3 PCIe gen neither about max speed supported nor for m.2 type (M? M+B? B?). I think it could be a connector that supports both M and M+B drives but has anyone really informations about PCIe connectors ? As I've searched online with HP spare part code and seems that idrives are of M type, Gen 3x4 Nvme, but I've also found compatibles ones as Crucial CT1000P5PSSD8 that even are a 4Th GEN PCIe Nvme.

As I want to add a second Nvme drive also  and  I've seen that seems it could be placed just a 2242 (or it's a 2230?) drive could be placed there, knows anyone if also the secondary M.2 storage has the same type, speed and GEN of the primary?

Thanks to all

Luca
