@hhhhanah

I'm sorry, but we here are NOT HP Tech Support and have no way to walk you through performing any repairs.

Nor are we able, or permitted, to provide any repair estimates or equipment prices.

For this information, you would need to contact an HP Repair or Service Center.

If you live in the U.S., here is a link to the HP Service Repair Centers:

If you live outside the U.S., here is a link to HP Service Centers, by Country/Region: https://support.hp.com/in-en/service-center

Good Luck

If the laptop itself works, all you have to do is order a new cover for your laptop and transport the hardware components over to the new cover.

I don't know how much it will cost to have it done in a shop since it varies everywhere.

If you want to do it yourself, just set up a way to record yourself disassembling everything from the old laptop and reverse the video you recorded and you will know how to put it all back together again. And don't worry, you can not connect it back together wrong since no socket will fit where it isn't supposed to fit. Just remember to connect them all again and don't lose the screws and you are set.
