Hi i am using 

HP Pavilion dv6-6115tx with 4GB RAM and want to add another 4 GB. what kind of affordable  4GB RAM can be added  in second slot or i have to change both new RAM for better performance my present RAM is ELPIDA DDR3 1333 frequency

You should be able to just add a second 4 GB memory chip in the empty slot.

thanks for the reply , should be from same company or different company will it affect the performance and any recomendation since my existing RAM is from elipda can i use any other company product also can u suggest any  ?? Thanks

As I replied yesterday, the 4 GB memory chip I posted should work with the one you have now.

 

Having memory chips from two different manufacturers should not matter as long as the memory specifications are the same, which they are.
