Hi everyone, I read the question from nick name clienteanziano regarding the type of RAM supported by an HP 255 G7 with an AMD A4 9125, the same as mine. I'm about to install an 8 GB module and I read from the response that it only has one 4 GB slot by default... but the RamExpert application instead tells me that it has an additional empty slot and that it has a maximum memory of up to 64 GB of RAM... what can you tell me? Thanks to all.

Hi:

I have the same notebook with the same processor.

It only has one memory slot and according to the service manual the notebook can support 1 x 8 GB of memory.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 255 G7 Notebook PC

One memory module slot (A9, A6, E2 processors)

DDR4-1866 single channel support

Supports up to 8 GB of system RAM

You would have to remove the 4 GB chip and install an 8 GB chip.

I've heard that the notebook will support 1 x 16 GB of DDR4-2400 CL17 memory.

Some folks have done that.

A single 32 GB or 64 GB memory chip would not work.
