Thank you SO much!  I haven't tried it yet, but appreciate it.

a) Where can this exe be found?  Just google it?

b) Separate question: You mention you have FOUR external monitors.  Wow.  My HP-15 notebook has one HDMI port, 4 USB-3 ports (I believe thsat's what they're called), and a USB-C port.  (I have an adapter plugged into the USB-C which has one ethernet port (which i use), plus 4 more USB ports.

How can I attach an additional external monitor?  (Might be an older monitor with no HDMI, just a VGA or "DVI-D" port.

I know I can try some DVI-to-USB adaptors . Not sure if I'd need drivers downloaded.

Thanks so much

Hi JIF415,

Here's the website for the software I use.  [content removed]

My setup has 1 4K Asus monitor connected to the single HDMI, but this gives me only 30Hz. I have 2 4K Desklabs touchscreen monitors connected to the 2 USB-C Thunderbolt ports at 60Hz and full 10 point touch. The 4th monitor is actually a Samsung Galaxy Tablet connected by wire to a USB-A port and uses SplashTop's Wired XDisplay Software.

Hope this helps.

I have an HP 15 Intel Core i5, and as I've tried none of the methods have worked (all of the values are right, but the bat file fails).

Are there any other solutions out there? It's very annoying, especially at night.

Yes.. If you are referring to the back light issue.. After a year of aggravation I tried the solution of turning off the touchpad WHILE holding down the corner of the touchpad. It works!

It's night and day!

Can you explain? I just tried doing it but the light still times out. Does the method work universally?

it takes some getting use to hold corner of pad down slide switch to off and i go past the button so off of the switch itll probably look like it want to go back to the on position but itll stay in off then let go of pad and it should work i have to do couple times once and a while but it will defifinatily work and make sure the keyboard light up when you push corner down if not you have wrong driver in i have the HID one not the synapsis or whatever its called

Go to the touchpad settings (fr Control panel / Devices)

  • Make sure the touchpad is in the ON position--
  • Press down the touchpad (I press it in the lower left corner completely pressed down
  • WHILE holding it down, toggle OFF off the touchpad with a mouse (make sure it does it in one motion -- (meaning if it goes on on it won’t work) - So press the corner down, hold it, & switch to OFF, then move the mouse away from the button
  • Let go of the touchpad

The keyboard light will stay on as long as you use the laptop (your touchpad will not work--that is the only downfall but if you have a mouse connected it doesn't really bother me )  but it definitely works been doing it for about a week now.

(When you restart the computer or shut it off you just have to redo it every time)
