Does HP Gaming Pavilion 15-dk0030ur (7QC04EA) support the backlit keyboard?

You asked. Here's the Service Manual:

 

Manual 

 

The keyboard is not offered as a part by itself. You have to get the whole top cover which comes in various languages. You will see on p. 15 a long list of backlit parts and then a long list of non-backlit parts. So you have to replace the whole top cover. You will find no instructions in the Manual for a top cover replacement. That's because the top cover is what you have left over after all other parts including the motherboard, etc. are removed. You basically completely disassemble the laptop then rebuild it onto a replacement top cover. The top cover part is expensive and the labor to do the replacement extensive.

Yes it does. A backlit keyboard was optional. But the cost and difficulty of retrofitting a backlit keyboard makes it a very unlikely project. Post back if you want full details.
