This series does support the backlit keyboard, though the feature does not always come installed on every model.

It will likely cost you more than $15 dollars to replace the keyboard - and there is, of course, the added hassle of disassembly and the actual replacement procedure. Nonetheless, the answer is that the backlit keyboard is an option and you can certainly look into doing it.
