Hi,
I have Hp Spectre 13-v000, the backspace button is broken, it seems I should change the button totally. Is it possible to change this button? or I should buy a complete keyboard assembly. A repairman told me in this model I have to change the screen as well, is it right?
I also need to know where to order the button, if its change is possible?
Regards, Fati

Hi @Mouxz
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
For the HP Spectre 13-v000, replacing an individual key like the Backspace button is not an option.
HP laptops require replacing the entire keyboard assembly, as individual key replacements are not officially supported.
Regarding the repairman's claim that the screen must also be replaced, this is not typically required unless the keyboard is integrated into the display assembly. You can confirm this by checking the HP Spectre 13-v0
Series Maintenance and Service Manual here.
If you’re unsure whether the keyboard can be replaced separately, I recommend consulting an HP-authorized repair center for confirmation. Let me know if you need more details!

Dear Hawks_Eye,
This is Fati. Thanks for your comprehensive reply. You mentioned " HP laptops require replacing the entire keyboard assembly, as individual key replacements are not officially supported." My question was mainly about the possibility of a single key replacement. I want to know if it is applicable. You know, being officially supported or not is not important to me. At the right time, I want a single key replacement(the appearance of my laptop is not favourable now). Is it technically possible?
Thanks for your clarification.
Best,
Fati

I understand your concern, Fati.
Single key replacement is not possible from HP service center; however, you may check with any local repair shop to find out if they could help you in this regards.
