Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?
HP Recommended

I have a HP omen 16.1 (i9,4060) that I have been using for barely over a year now(oct 2024). Everything seemed fine with it until last week but suddenly my laptops battery shot down from 60 to 0 and when i plugged it back in it said your battery life may have depleted. After further checking it said that my battery health level is only at 23 percent after just 154 cycle count which is terribly low for a battery life like this. I want to know if this is a manufacturing defect like i think it is or its my fault and i if i can do anything to get the battery replaced for free or with a concession as my warranty has expired

Hi @Scharan

You can contact HP, but a battery is no longer under warranty after one year, so they won't replace it for free. Since the battery is a consumable item, it degrades over time; there can be many reasons for this.
