Hi, I have a HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl012dx laptop. Recently, my battery won't charge and the battery icon tells me that it's plugged in but not charging. I ran an HP Support Assistant diagnostic on the battery, and it recommends that I replace my battery.
I have spent many hours on the HP support website but could not find the replacement battery. Where can I find and buy the battery and get it replaced?

See pp. 23-24 for "how to".
Battery, 6-cell, 79-WHr, 3.43-AHr, Li-ion 902499-856
HP no longer stocks this so you have to go to the aftermarket:

The above from amazon.com is a 3rd party compatible battery but from a well-rated seller and will be fine for your needs. Post back with any other questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

As suggested, I got the battery replaced at Best Buy, but it is not working.
I cannot start the the laptop on battery power.
When I use HP Support Assistant to check the battery, it does not recognize the battery. The message I get is 'No battery'.
Best Buy says that the battery is installed properly.
Should I try another battery from Amazon?
Can I use the laptop without battery, on power adaptor?

For the record I suggested you replace it but I did not recommend Best Buy. Don't get me started and I will not comment further. Did Best Buy supply a genuine HP battery or what? The old battery was at least detected by the system, right?

I bought the battery myself from Amazon, as you suggested.
I did not have the right screw drivers to open the laptop so I took it to Best Buy to open the laptop and replace the battery that I gave to them.
What should I do now? Please let me know.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
